Xbox RROD…

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

EDITORIAL

So yeah My xbox died. Gotta be honest I’m a bit annoyed.  But it had been acting a bit weird for a few days. After it went red ring I went straight out and got a Elite console. I’d been Uming and Ahing about upgrading for a while And finally thought I should take the plunge,  when my old one comes back from it’s repair I’m going to sell it.

No I’m not going to make profit, but It’s an upgraded xbox for about £60 in my view.

The podcast has been in hiatus for a few weeks while we were on holiday, rest assured that tomorrow, your favorite videogame podcast will be back and that I shall be cooking the eggs.

BEAT.British Comic : 009 ‘Xbox Live: Microsoft Sucks’

You’d think they would have learned after the Christmas Fiasco but no.

Grapevine: COD4 New Maps.

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

Well, it looks like the new Call of Duty 4 maps have broken Xbox Live, both website and live on the box are slow or not working and it’s safe to say that the game of the year for quite a few publications is the culprit. A new map pack called the ‘Variety Pack’ was released with 4 maps included for 800 MS points. But even though I’ve brought it, I can’t go online.

The Four maps are quite good, I got to play three of the four before I stopped to have dinner, the fourth being only really for objective based play. They are fantasticly detailed and if you own COD4 and like it I encourage you to look into them.

However, you’d think that Microsoft would have learnt from the Christmas fiasco and the broken live experience over the holiday season with all the new xboxes connecting. But no.

Oh well I suppose I’ll just go play more Crisis Core.

PODCAST

So OK another Solo Podcast,

I was literally the only person in the house so I talked to, well, myself. Oh and you. So this week I talked about the Sims 3, Crisis Core ‘Special edition’, the Ridiculous Guitar Hero controller and Adventure Games. Adventure Games are good, go out and play the following:

The Dig.
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
Day of the Tentacle
5 Days a Stranger (by Ben ‘Yahtzee’ Crowshaw)

They are great, and I should know I’ve just finished all Four in Four days. Quality of games, thank the lord.
